The Institut Cerdà The IC is a private and independent foundation which was created in 1984 by the initiative of a representative group of Catalonian civil engineers. These group of engineers was commanded by Pere Duran Farell in order to commemorate the 150 years of the Plà Cerdà approval. Its foundational finality is the contribution to the constant boost and to the society dynamization with the purpose to achieve suitable proposals, in fields related to territorial distribution, environment, investigation, development and innovation, information tecnologies, the culture and other economic fields, from the rigor and objectivity that leads its position of independence.
